Soundtrack to New Zealand Liberation WW1 Museum in France
Commissioned by Weta Workshop, Rhian Sheehan wrote the orchestral score featured throughout the New Zealand Liberation Museum – Te Arawhata, in Le Quesnoy France. The permanent museum exhibit commemorates the triumph of Kiwi soldiers who liberated the people of the town and the approximately 12,500 New Zealanders who died in Europe during World War One. “The exhibition is designed to create a very immersive and emotive storytelling experience, to highlight the human stories behind the liberation, and the music is central to that,” says Sheehan. The music for the museum was recorded at Stella Maris Chapel in Seatoun.
